Peterkin was announced as Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 24.7 points and 10 rebounds in the Lady Bulldogs’ first three games. However, she and her teammates won’t be playing in front of fans at Wilson Gym, at least not in the first few games of the season, as the NCAA Division II college announced Monday that nonessential spectators would not be allowed into Wilson Gym until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
