Yates William Webb, 89 of Stantonsburg passed away Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Good News Advent Christian Church Cemetery, 7000 Holdens Cross Road, Foutain. Rev. Thomas Ellis and Rev. Alex Ellis will of officiate.

The family will receive Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Yates worked thirty-five years within the government in the Air Force with the NASA department, and the United States Postal Service. He was a minister for fifty-five years at Wilson Advent Christian Church. Yates was the president of the Bakertown Fire Department and the Chaplain of Travelers Protection Associations.

Yates is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Bonnie Davis Webb, and his brother, Adrian Webb of Stantonsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Blanche Webb; sisters, Lois Webb, Delanie Green, and Orlean Kitchen, and his brother, Harvey Webb.
