Even with bright sunshine Saturday, the Wilson Times area will temporarily escape the heat as a north breeze keeps high temperatures in the low 70s. The overnight low will be cooler still, dropping to around 50.

It won’t last, though.

A switch in winds overnight to the southwest will bring in much warmer temperatures by Sunday afternoon. Highs will get into the low 80s while 90 is expected on Tuesday.

A decent chance for a few showers, and possibly a thunderstorm, shows up in the forecast for Monday and Wednesday. Cooler temperatures are scheduled to return by Thursday.
