The Wilson Times area should be able to enjoy a sun-filled, dry weekend before more shower and thunderstorm chances arrive Monday.

A northerly wind will keep Saturday a little cooler than normal with highs around 70 followed by overnight lows in the mid-40s.

A change in the winds to the southwest Sunday is expected to power an afternoon warmup to 80 degrees and an overnight low in the mild mid-60s.

An advancing cold front will likely bring a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday. That front should clear our area and move into South Carolina well before daybreak Tuesday, allowing skies to begin clearing.
