Obituaries

KENLY — Paula O’Neal Pittman, 63, passed away Monday. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 8, in Stantonsburg Cemetery. The Rev. Woody Parrish will officiate.

Paula was born on Nov. 5, 1957, to the late Charles O’Neal and Peggy Murphy. Paula loved being a homemaker, keeping a very tidy house, being with her family, always doing for others and going camping. She had a heart of gold.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, James Pittman; sons, Chris Barnes and wife, Laura, James Pittman Jr. and Brian Pittman and wife, Lorie, all of Wilson; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Deanna Mellons of Fayetteville; and her brothers, Pastor William O’Neal and wife, Janet, of Harkers Island, Todd O’Neal of Wilson and Randy Page and wife, Sarah, of Apex.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bo Barnes; brother, Charlie O’Neal; and her stepfather, William Page.
