Grifton — Millie Creech, 85, of Grifton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at her daughter's home in Grifton. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Garland Creech.
She was a wife, mother, and beloved Mema. She was a member of Creech's Primitive Baptist Church of Kenly. A graceful child of God, she spent quality time with her family and friends, making cherished memories.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Creech Bryan and husband, Wayne, of Grifton; son, Jeffrey Garland Creech, of Garner; granddaughter, Denise Paulk and husband, Blake, of Grifton; grandson, Dewitt Pope and wife, Catherine, of Kinston, and five great-grandchildren.
Born in Johnston County on November 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Addie Boykin. The last remaining child of the Boykin family, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Edith Creech, Alonzia Boykin, Donnie Boykin, and Ruby Mason.
A visitation will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with burial following at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
