SALISBURY — A few tantalizing plays arguably stood between the Barton College football program and a winning record early in its first fall season Saturday afternoon at Shuford Stadium.

Barton quarterback Jaquan Lynch, throwing a pass during the season opener Sept. 4 against Newberry at Truist Stadium, enjoyed a big day passing and running the football Saturday as the Bulldogs won 38-25, their first victory since reviving the program last spring.
