Every month, Casita Brewing hosts a local nonprofit and helps them raise funds by offering their venue for a variety of activities. In June, Wilson Arts is the featured nonprofit.
In addition to the planned fundraising events, 25% of all taproom tips will be donated to Wilson Arts at the end of the month.
Following is a list of the events planned so far.
JUNE 4: Wilson Arts will partner with The Painted Farmer to offer a fun and relaxing morning of yoga with goats in the beer garden at Casita Brewing from 10-11 a.m. This beginner-friendly, slow-paced class starts and ends with plenty of time for goat petting and pictures. For ages 13 and up.
Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.
JUNE 8: Canvas Concoctions will engage the imagination through the joy of abstract painting. This experience, from 6-8 p.m., will offer the freedom to create a unique painted canvas. JUNE 13: Shaun Braswell leads Improv Night from 7-9 p.m. With an ensemble cast of fellow actors David Winstead, J.B. Yankosky and Maria Popowich, this group will be flexing their improv muscles as they take whatever is thrown at them by the emcee Seth Penwell.

JUNE 22 and 29: Local artist and arts instructor Renee J. Moore is back with a two-night textural workshop for beginners. Choose glaze colors and Moore will bring back the finished pieces for the next session.
In part two, participants will see glazed pieces then learn to assemble the jewelry or mobile to complete their finished piece. Moore will take the pieces home for a final firing, and participants will be notified by email when their masterpieces are ready to be picked up at Wilson Arts. No experience with clay is necessary.
