Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Shannon Carroll and Glenda Barnes Carroll of the Black Creek community announce the marriage of their daughter, Halie Joye Carroll, to Tanner Blake Braswell, son of Shannon Ray Braswell and Marsha Fulford Braswell of the Rock Ridge community, on Saturday, July 17, at 6 o’clock in the evening. The outdoor ceremony was held at The Farm at 42 in Selma with the Rev. Hal Jones of White Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church officiating.
The grandparents of the bride are James “Jimmy” Lee and Elaine Parrish Barnes, Jonathan Todd and Rose Price Lowery and the late Phillip Moses Carroll. The grandparents of the groom are Carolyn Winstead Davis, Willard Grey Fulford and the late Kay Denton Fulford.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Phillip Shannon Carroll, and was attended by brother, Nathan Jaron Carroll, as her man of honor.
She was also blessed with the presence of her friend Abby Colop, cousin Anna Whitley, friend Amanda Johnson and the groom’s cousins Ava May and Katie Nguyen as bridesmaids.
The groom was attended by his father, Shannon Ray Braswell, as best man with brother Taylor Braswell and cousin Alex Nguyen as groomsmen. The ring security was cousin of the bride Brantley Bryant, and little messenger was family of bride McKinley Turner. Honorary family were cousins of the bride Bianca Ballinas with Bentley and Owen Ballinas, Lisette Chavez with Leo Chavez, and Cruz Medina.
The ceremony director was the aunt of the bride Christy Bryant. Hair stylist and reception director was friend of the bride Natalie Newsome along with servers Kellie Brantley and Cassie Wall.
The guest book attendant was cousin of the bride Virginia Bryant, and the photographer was Karen Chiancone, family of the bride.
Musicians included Kevin and Karen Hill, friends of the bride, singing “God Made You” along with sound/video assistance from Moises Colop. Instrumental version of “I Loved Her First” by Heartland was played for honoring of the parents and grandparents, “This Is It” by Scotty McCreery for the welcoming of the wedding party and “Beautiful in White” by Shane Filan for the grand entrance of the bride.
A family communion and prayer took place along with the bride and groom’s unity of communion.
The reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the Farm at 42 facilities. A formal dinner was provided by Charles Sherrod Catering along with the Johnson family.
The cake was created by Andra Lucas of Simply Sweets, and the cupcakes were provided by Stacey Wall of Bailey.
Several family and friends made this a day to be remembered.
The bride and groom spent a week of their honeymoon in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
The bride was employed at Farm Bureau of Wilson; however, she has been recently employed at Carr, Riggs and Ingram, CPA, of Wilson. The groom is employed at Merck Pharmaceutical of Wilson.
The couple will make residence in Lucama.
