How do I place an ad in The Wilson Times?

Where should I send my news release?
Email news releases, tips and story ideas to editor@wilsontimes.com. Releases should be provided in plain-text format, and pasting the full text in the email body is preferable to sending an attachment. Photographs should be in the JPG/JPEG file format and should include captions naming everyone pictured from left to right. Only original, undoctored photos are accepted; images edited with text or graphics, such as company logos or photo studios' watermarks, will not be published.

How do I submit a letter to the editor?
The Wilson Times welcomes letters on subjects of local interest.
- Letters that promote a commercial product and those that contain libelous material, personal attacks on individuals or vulgar language and those addressed to a third party will not be published. Consumer complaints and letters containing unverifiable factual claims are ineligible for publication.
- Letters should be no more than 350 words, must be signed and should include the writer's address. A telephone number, which will not be published, should be included for verification purposes.
- Letters selected for publication may be edited, and all letters become property of The Wilson Times

How do I get my engagement or wedding announcement published?
Visit www.wilsontimes.com/downloads/ to view and save PDF forms for weddings, engagements, anniversaries and birthdays. Direct questions to the associate editor at (252) 265-7810.
How do I get an obituary published?
Obituaries are submitted and billed through the funeral home handling arrangements. Private parties can place paid obituaries when death verification and prepayment requirements are met. For more information, call (252) 265-7850.
How can I find out when an article was published?
For news stories from 2012 to present, use the keyword search on our website at www.wilsontimes.com/search.html. For stories published before 2012, visit our archive site, https://wilsontimes.newspaperarchive.com. Newspapers are also available on microfilm at the Wilson County Public Library. Copies of articles may be made from the microfilm editions, which date to 1951. The digital archive includes Times editions dating to 1896.
