Teachers and students join in Wilson Art Center show

Wilson Arts will showcase the strength and diversity of art education programs throughout community with “Impact!” — a Wilson County teacher/ student group exhibition.
The opening reception is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 5.
The show will celebrate Wilson County art teachers and their students. “Impact” runs May 5-26 in the Truist Event Gallery at the Wilson Art Center.
Artwork will be on display from elementary through college level, showing the full spectrum of development in creativity. The show will be hosted by Silverthorne Properties.
Participating schools include Barton College, Beddingfield High School, Elm City Middle School, Fike High School, Jones Elementary School, Lee Woodard Elementary School, Lucama Elementary School, New Hope Elementary School, Rock Ridge Elementary School and Springfield Middle School.
The Wilson Arts Center Truist Event Gallery is open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The opening is free and open to the public. The show runs May 5-28.
