ROCKY MOUNT — The Tar River Chorus will present “The Song Arising — Inspirational Music for Our Times” with Carolina Brass at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5.

The concert will be presented at First Baptist Church in Rocky Mount.

The Tar River Chorus and Carolina Brass present an uplifting concert of inspirational music to begin its season.

Songs will include “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” “Climb Every Mountain” and “What A Wonderful World.” 

The Carolina Brass will also perform selections of classical, Dixieland, jazz and patriotic music.

Seating capacity will be reduced to allow for social distancing. Unvaccinated guests are asked to wear masks.

The church is located at 200 S. Church St.

This is the 36th year of the Tar River Choral & Orchestral Society’s musical performances in Rocky Mount and the surrounding region. 

Five musical groups provide unique performances for adults and children.
