Sculptors from all over North Carolina, including a representation of local artists from the Wilson area, were invited to create original work for a group exhibition opening in Truist Event Gallery at Wilson Arts. The opening reception is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 2. The exhibit runs to July 14.
Each artist will be showcasing two to three pieces, and the exhibition will feature a wide range of sculptural styles and materials.
Sculptors featured in the invitational include Matt Amante, Dunham Aurelius, Ivana Beck, Jeff Bell, Jonathan Burger, Elizabeth Laul Healey, Kevin Howard, Jordan Parah and Austin Sheppard.
This event is hosted by Vernon Mason and Andy Summerlin, Maria Popowitch, Betsy and Hunter Rascoe and The Selkie. The reception and exhibition are both free and open to the public.
Wilson Arts Center is located at 204 Nash St. S.
The Wilson Arts Center Truist Event Gallery is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
