Play some “foolish” golf and help Hope Station. PIxabay

Hope Station has announced the return of its golf tournament, following the COVID-10 break.  The very popular Trick-or-Treat Halloween Tournament has been transformed into an April Fools Golf Tournament that will be held Friday, April 22, at Wedgewood Golf Course.

The tournament will be played in a superball format will foolishness at every hole and is presented by S.T. Wooten.

“April is a month for foolishness, and this golf tournament may be the most foolish 18 holes of golf you will ever play,” said tournament coordinator the Rev. Gary Walling. “The only serious thing about the day will be the support we give to Hope Station and the people that they serve.”

Teams of four can register for $350. In addition, sponsorships are available for $5,000, $2,500, $1,000 and $600 and will include fielding teams for the event. Additional sponsorships that include teams are the lunch sponsor and refreshment cart sponsor.

Hope Station hosts this tournament to help support its work among Wilson County residents who are struggling with hunger or homelessness — particularly its family shelter, men’s shelter and food pantry.

Deadlines are April 8 for sponsorships and April 15 for teams. For information or registration, email contact@hs-wilson.org or call 252-291-7278.
