For anyone interested in learning a new art form or just having a fun couple of hours with friends creating something, Wilson Arts is offering creative workshops for ages 14 and above at the Wilson Arts Center.

Soul Stitching with Renee J. Moore
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For ages 14 and up (Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.)
Wilson Arts Center
This workshop is designed to engage participants in the meditative quality of stitch work and explore the medium using an intuitive process. Activities will include hand printing on fabric using found objects and then deconstructing the prints and reassembling them into a mixed media project incorporating embroidery-inspired stitch work and embellishments. No experience is required, and all materials are provided.

Meditative Drawing with Maureen O’Neill
10 a.m. to noon
For ages 14 and up (Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.)

Instructor Maureen O’Neill has designed a variety of exercises to help participants connect and engage with the present moment through mark-making exercises. No experience is necessary — just a willingness to engage in a workshop that is about process, rather than product.

Painting with Goats
7 to 9 p.m.
Ages: 14 and up (Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.)
Wilson Arts Center
An instructor from The Painted Farmer will offer step-by-step instructions on how to complete a wooden sign. She will be joined by Nigerian dwarf goats. Get ready for lots of laughter and all the feels as the goats try their best to win your heart.

Monoprinting with Nature
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Ages: 14 and up (Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.)
Wilson Arts Center
During this three-hour workshop with Renee J. Moore, participants will explore printmaking techniques using found objects from nature. Both hand-printing and printing press methods will be used. Prints will then be deconstructed and used to produce a collage work. No experience required; materials are provided.
