SMITHFIELD — The Small Business Center at Johnston Community College will offer the following online seminars next month:
How to Start a Small Business — 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13. Learn key strategies for launching, financing and marketing, along with information about legal matters, licensing, zoning, operations and more. Register online at https://bit.ly/3q5PzNt.
How to Write a Business Plan — 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20. Learn the important components of a business plan, including the do’s and don’ts. Find out how marketing, operations and finance are interrelated, and discover how potential lenders use a business plan. Register at https://bit.ly/3q8g9FC.
Business Structures 101 — 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24. The structure of a small business affects taxation, legal and financial liability as well as decision-making. This seminar will review the various structures a business can take, including sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, and limited liability company. Register at https://bit.ly/3F98soZ.
