The Wilson Chamber of Commerce will host its Wilson Spring Expo presented by Greenlight Community Broadband from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the Wilson County Fairgrounds. The Spring Expo is one of the largest business expos in eastern North Carolina and showcases various types of businesses and services available in the Wilson area.

“For the past two years, we’ve had to modify this event significantly to accommodate public health concerns, but it has been a priority of our chamber to keep this event going in whatever way we could, as I know it has become one of the more highly-anticipated business expos of its kind in our region,” said Ryan Simons, president of the Wilson Chamber of Commerce. “Now it seems we can return the Expo back to its full potential, as an important way to inform our community about the goods and services available in our market and to demonstrate our commitment to local businesses.”

As in previous years, the Wilson Spring Expo will include more than 100 vendors demonstrating products and services ranging from health care to home improvement and much more. Vendors will be spread throughout the fairgrounds, and the event will also include food trucks and other family-friendly features.

According to Simons, the Wilson Spring Expo is a sign that the community is beginning to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As Wilson and the world emerges from this crisis, now we’re confronting new challenges facing our market, namely, workforce shortages and supply chain issues,” he said. “In addition to simply displaying what businesses exist in our market, the Spring Expo is also a great way for the public to examine career opportunities and the many alternatives to products and services that consumers are looking for.”

A few Expo booths are available when reserved in advance, and several smaller “tabletop” display options remain. To participate in the Wilson Spring Expo presented by Greenlight Community Broadband, contact Rebecca Tew, membership services manager at the Wilson Chamber of Commerce by calling 252-237-0165.
