WAKE FOREST — Wake Forest will send 14 more student-athletes off to college after the school held its signing day Monday, May 16.

Four baseball players, four boys soccer players, two softball players, two track runners, a girls basketball player and a girls wrestler made their commitment to play for the next level.

Starting with baseball, Ivan Perez, Carter Raper and Blake Benoit all signed together to play at Paul D. Camp Community College in Franklin, Va.

In two years on the varsity level, Perez recorded 26 hits, 18 RBIs and 17 runs. As a pitcher this past season, Raper won five games and struck out 33 batters in 32 innings. In three years on varsity, Benoit recorded 31 hits, 32 runs, 24 RBIs and two home runs.

Will Benjamin signed to play baseball at Saint Andrews University. This past season, he recorded four hits, six RBIs and one run.

For boys soccer, Nathan Cochran, Drew Frazier and Josh Rutland all signed together to play at Peace University.

In two years on the varsity level, Cochran scored two goals and dished out 11 assists. In three years on varsity, Frazier scored 14 goals and dished out 15 assists. In three years on varsity, Rutlan scored 37 goals and dished out 13 assists.

Noah Kump signed to play soccer at University of South Carolina Upstate. He played goalkeeper at the varsity level for two seasons and made 77 saves out of 20 games.

For softball, Emilee Lewis signed to play softball at Meredith University. In two years on varsity, she recorded 30 hits, 28 runs and 18 RBIs.

Chloe Alston signed to play softball at Howard University. In four years on varsity, she recorded 42 hits, 35 runs, 30 RBIs and two home runs.

For track and field, both Andrew Mallo and Olivia Fischlein signed to run for UNC-Charlotte. Mallo’s personal record for the 800-meter run is 1:52.39 and 4:18.07 in the 1,600-meter run. His personal record for cross-country is 16:33.44.

Fischlein’s personal record for the 800-meter run is 2:17.50 and 5:24.23 in the 1,600-meter run. Her personal record for cross-country is 19:17.60.

For girls basketball, Amina Miles signed to play at Fayetteville State University. In four years on varsity, she averaged 12 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.2 steals per game.

For girls wrestling, Bryanna Luihn signed to play for Southwestern Oregon College. Her overall record is 22-14 in the 120-pound weight class.
