WAKE FOREST — Registration for various adult and youth spring league sports is available through the end of the month.

The town of Wake Forest is signing people up for youth baseball and softball, men’s softball, and co-rec softball and kickball.

Here’s how to register:

Youth baseball and softball — Registration is available for boys aged 5-17 and girls 5-15 (determined by age on April 30, 2021). The cost is $60 for town residents and $100 for nonresidents. Registration is at http://bit.ly/WFSpringBaseball. The season is through mid-June.

Men’s and co-rec softball — Participants must be 18 or old and register at http://bit.ly/PRCRAdultAthletics. The entry fee is $550 per team. Players can register as a free agent without a team.

Adult kickball — Participants must be 18 or old and register at http://bit.ly/WFkickball. The entry fee is $225 per team. Players can register as a free agent without a team.

The town’s Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department says it is taking a slow approach to its return of athletic programming during the pandemic.

“The coronavirus is expected to remain a threat for the foreseeable future, so the PRCR Department is working to balance health and safety concerns with public demand for resumed access to amenities and services,” a press release said.

Among COVID-19-related restrictions that will be in place are social distancing, limits to spectating and a prohibition on sharing equipment like bats and gloves.
