WAKE FOREST — Just ahead of the second Friday Night on White of 2022 on May 13, it’s high time to share some shots from the first one.
Music by The Magic Pipers had people dancing in the only open space on White Street — right in front of the stage — while some 10,000 folks crowded into most of the remaining downtown area.
In addition to dozens of food trucks and vendor booths, Norse Brewing and White Street Brewing sold suds in the street to those who lined up to buy them.
After just one FNOW was held in September of last year, 2022 looked likely to go the distance, holding all six monthly festivals. However, concern over the weather forecast caused town officials to cancel today's festivities. Weather permitting, the next FNOW will be June 10.
