Alice Carolyn Powell Frazier

Posted on May 4, 2022

Alice Carolyn Powell Frazier, 86, went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2022, in Winter Garden, FL. Alice was born to Joshua Adam and Minnie Margret Woodlief Powell of Wake Forest, NC on July 25, 1935. Alice went to school in Wake Forest and made most of her career at Westinghouse in Raleigh.

Alice loved her family and deeply missed her son, Tim, who went to be with the Lord in December 2020. She cherished her two grandsons and took great delight in times spent together. Alice loved antiques and she and her husband, Fred, made many trips to the NC mountains antiquing in the early years. She loved to laugh, walks in the yard, but mostly she loved ice cream. She really enjoyed spending time with all her nieces and nephews over her entire lifetime, and in recent years especially her niece and namesake, Carolyn Fowler, and her nieces, Phyliss Lowery and Susan Bailey, all of Wake Forest and Vickie Crimm of Durham.

She was the youngest of six children. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter and Billy Powell and sisters, Nellie Marshall and Gracie Mitchell, all of Wake Forest. Alice was also preceded in death by her son, Timothy Frazier, and husband, Fred Frazier. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Westmoreland of Winter Garden, Fl.; son, Freddy Frazier of Raleigh, NC; son-in-law, Sonny Westmoreland; daughter-in-law, Nancy Frazier; grandsons, Sonny Westmoreland Jr. and Joshua Frazier and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest at 2:00 on May 16, 2022. Condolences: Renaissance Funeral Home at
