Weathercast: Cool temps, mostly sunny skies for Thanksgiving

Posted on November 24, 2020

Local news

High pressure is forecast to stay around Tuesday to give the Wilson Times area mostly sunny skies and cool high temperatures in the mid-50s.

After an overnight low in the upper 30s, winds will shift to the south. That will allow highs to get into the mid-60s Wednesday, even with increasing cloudiness.

A 40-60% chance of showers arrives late Wednesday and continues into Thanksgiving morning. After an overnight low in the mid-50s, Thursday will likely see highs around 70.  Some sun is expected by afternoon.

A slight chance of showers and partly cloudy skies are forecast for Friday and Saturday. Temperatures should be moderate, with highs in the 60s and overnight lows in the 40s.

A very cold Canadian high pressure system is scheduled to arrive overnight Monday or Tuesday with below freezing temperatures to follow Tuesday night.
