SMITHFIELD — The next public forum on Johnston County’s Comprehensive Land-Use Plan is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the Johnston County Agricultural Center, 2176 N.C. 210, Smithfield.

The forum will include a brief presentation at 6:30 p.m. A question-and-answer session will follow. The county invites Johnstonians to voice their opinions on land use, growth management, transportation, resource conservation and the overall vision for the future of Johnston County.

“The county’s new comprehensive plan, Envision Johnston, is nearing completion and we look forward to seeing the public on June 29,” said county planning director Braston Newton. “Our project team will be present to answer questions and hear your opinions.”
