The sun is forecast to briefly return to the Wilson Times area Tuesday, only to give way to more clouds Wednesday morning.

Tuesday should be mostly clear with high temperatures in the 50- to 53-degree range and winds light from the north. Overnight lows will drop to the mid-30s while it’s back to the low 50s again Wednesday afternoon.

A low pressure system threatens Wednesday’s weather and will likely bring in showers. Areas north of a line from Castalia to Louisburg have the lowest probability of rain with chances higher, at 50%, south and east.

A drying period is set to begin late Wednesday afternoon and last through the weekend.

After Thursday’s comfortable 60-degree high, temperatures are forecast to be below average through the weekend.
