SMITHFIELD — The Johnston County Planning Board will consider two rezoning requests and six subdivisions at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the courthouse in Smithfield.

Roy Lee and Brenda Matthews want the county to rezone roughly 2.5 acres at 7618 Elevation Road in Elevation Township. Christina Howard hopes to open a wedding and events venue there.

Bonnie and Ricky Godwin are seeking business zoning for 0.34 acres at 6217 N.C. 39 in O’Neals Township. David Ricky Godwin Jr. wants to put a car dealership there.

The board will review the following subdivision requests:

• Green tract — 10 lots on 13.09 acres on Barber Mill Road at Stylish Sierra Drive, Clayton Township.

• Weaver tract — 18 lots on 28.59 acres on Lowell Mill Road just west of Goodling Road, Micro Township.

• Wilkins tract — 19 lots on 18.28 acres on U.S. 701 north of Marler Road, Bentonville Township.

• Rock Pillar Road tract — 22 lots on 3.43 acres on Rock Pillar Road just north of Nolan Circle, Wilson’s Mills Township.

• The Laurel — 46 lots on 59.22 acres at 2641 Powhatan Road just northwest of Pocahontas Trail, Clayton Township.

• Farmstone Meadows — 98 lots on 147.59 acres on Dupree Road south Mid Lane, Pleasant Grove Township.
