Clouds are expected to begin increasing in the Wilson Times area late Tuesday, portending the arrival of a cold front late Wednesday or Thursday morning.

That front will bring a good chance of showers and thunderstorms by Wednesday morning and continuing through much of Thursday.

By Thursday evening, much drier air will quickly rush in as the front moves well offshore.

Afternoon high temperatures are expected to reach the mid-80s on Tuesday, a couple of degrees warmer Wednesday, but then back to the mid 80s Thursday.

The weekend should be seasonable and mostly dry.
