Emma Dickinson plays softball for the Ladybirds at Southern Nash High School and is The Enterprise’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Dickinson plays first base on the girls softball team. She’s also on the school’s swim team and plays tennis and track for the high school.

She was one of five Ladybirds contributing to Southern Nash’s 52-point total in a Dec. 9 Big East Conference swim meet at the Harrison Family YMCA in Rocky Mount. The girls earned a fourth-place finish, while the Firebirds took sixth place in the boys competition.

Teammates Avery Bissette, Hailey Glover, Madyson Quincy and Emily Terry also scored for the Ladybirds. Firebirds scorers were Greyson Curtis and Bradley Brown.

A 17-year-old junior, Dickinson said she plans to enter the nursing field after high school and college.
