Golf tourney raises $15,000 in breast cancer survivor's honor

The Spring Hope Golf Association at Peachtree Hills Country Club recently held a golf tournament in honor of Terri Griffin, a breast cancer survivor who received treatment at Nash UNC Health Care's Danny Talbott Cancer Center. The tournament was planned and implemented with the help of the Peachtree Hills Country Club board and numerous volunteers. The first-year event raised $15,000, which was donated to the Nash UNC Health Care Foundation. The funds will be used to purchase new infusion chairs with heat and massage features, as well as blanket warmers and hydration stations for the Breast Care Center.
