Once the clouds move out and the showers head north Tuesday morning, the Wilson Times area should be looking at widespread afternoon temperatures around 60 degrees.
Cold air makes a brief return Tuesday night behind a cold front, with lows hitting the upper 20s by sunrise Wednesday.
A cold, sunny Wednesday in the upper 40s is forecast to be quickly followed by more rain Thursday morning into early Friday.
Clearing and colder temperatures start the weekend before a warmup gets underway Sunday. Overnight Friday and Saturday lows are likely to settle in the mid-20s under clear skies.
