CREEDMOOR — Vance Doug High, 77, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Duke Regional Hospital.
Doug was the son of the late Vance Pershing High and Louise Woodlief High Honeycutt. He was a member of Creedmoor United Methodist Church. He retired from his dental lab business in Oxford, working with Dr. Martin and Dr. Sneed. Doug’s passion was family, golf and coaching his daughters’ basketball and softball. He served three terms on Creedmoor Board of Commissioners from 1977-1989.
Surviving are three daughters, Lynda Cramer (Bob), Cynthia Shahed and Julie High; two sisters, Barbara Roberts (Gary) and Deborah Rogers (Lenny); and a brother, Danny High (Jane), all of Creedmoor.
Private service will be held at a later date.
