CREEDMOOR — Hundreds of children and adults filled the streets Saturday afternoon for a scaled-down version of Main Street Trick-or-Treating.

Several of Creedmoor’s downtown businesses decided to go ahead with the annual tradition, despite concern about the coronavirus.

Witches and goblins, firefighters, police officers, Harry Potter, “Hocus Pocus” witches, the Incredibles, Spider-man, bumble bees, princesses, knights, Scooby-Doo and Daphne too stood in line to get candy from merchants.

The children enjoyed the freedom to run along streets with bags and pumpkins full of candy.

The crowds made its way to First Baptist Church of Creedmoor’s Trunk or Treat before heading back down the street for more candy.

Many of the trick-or-treaters said they were having a good time. Parents said they appreciate the businesses making Halloween 2020 memorable.
