STEM — Kathy Moss Williams, 72, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021, at her home in Stem.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Wendy Watkins (Brian) of Creedmoor, a son, Kevin Ray Williams (Emma) of Raleigh; four granddaughters, Lauren (Emerald), Harley, Adyson, and Madelyn; three grandsons, Zander, Eli, and Bennett; two great-grandchildren, Langley and Hayes; two sisters, Candi Vaughan of Durham, and Sandy Averette of Creedmoor.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Dana W. Ellington.

Kathy was born and raised in Granville County. She was a dedicated member of Tally Ho First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She spent her career serving the patients at Central Regional Hospital. Kathy loved having a kitchen full of laughter, and a yard full of family and flowers. Her servant’s heart will be greatly missed by those she knew and loved.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Tally Ho First Baptist Church in Stem. The family will receive friends and family at her home after the service until 6 p.m.
