Butner Public Safety report: June 9-16

Crime

The following is a list of incidents and arrests from June 9-16 by Butner Public Safety officers. All information is from public law enforcement records.
June 9
• Property damage was reported on Mallard Place. The perpetrator(s) damaged a window on the residence.  
June 10
• Fraud was reported on Central Avenue. The perpetrator cashed a fraudulent check.        
• Breaking and entering and larceny was reported on East D Street. The perpetrator(s) entered an unlocked motor vehicle and stole two purses.
June 12
• PSO M. B. Butler served a criminal summons on Nathan Blayne Lester, 26, of Creedmoor, for injury to personal property. Lester was issued a court date and ordered to appear in court.  
• PSO M. B. Butler arrested Timothy Leroy Anthony, 36, of Durham, for an outstanding order for arrest. Anthony was issued an unsecured bond by Magistrate C. P. Bostic and was released.   

• Larceny was reported on West Lyon Station Road. The suspect stole cash from the victim.    
June 13
• An assault was reported on Highway 56. The victim was struck in the face by his wife.    
June 14
• Property damage was reported on East C Street. The perpetrator damaged a window to the victim’s vehicle. 
June 15
• Property damage was reported on Highway 56. The perpetrator damaged a fuel pump.    
• PSO T. Terry arrested Clarence Odell Stanley, 57, of Creedmoor, for an outstanding warrant for accessory after the fact. Stanley was issued a secured bond of $20,000 by Magistrate R. W. Pearce and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.    
• Larceny was reported on Highway 56. The perpetrator entered the property and stole household goods.  
• A breaking and entering and larceny was reported on East C Street. The perpetrator entered the residence and stole cash.    
• PSO N. M. Zuber arrested Brittany Michelle Branch, 36, of Durham, for an outstanding warrant for felony larceny. Branch was issued a secured bond of $20,000 by Magistrate R. R. Roberts Jr. and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.   
June 16
• Larceny was reported on Highway 56. The perpetrator entered the property and stole household goods.  
• PSO N. M. Zuber arrested Jesus Alexandro Alejo, 35, of Creedmoor, for an outstanding warrant for property damage. Alejo was issued an unsecured bond of $500 by Magistrate R. W. Pearce and was released. 

Special events and notices
On the second Thursday of every month, Butner Public Safety will host its monthly Community Watch meetings at Butner Town Hall. Butner Public Safety urges the public to attend these meetings to learn vital information pertaining to the safety of their neighborhoods. During each of these meetings, information such as recent arrests, crimes and safety concerns are addressed to the public. Butner Public Safety also accepts any and all information or concerns from the public so that they can be resolved or addressed. For more information, contact Sgt. N. Williams at 919-575-6561 ext. 111. The next scheduled meeting will be determined at a later date. Butner Public Safety encourages everyone to keep their parked vehicles locked.
