Butner Public Safety report: April 7-21

Crime

The following is a list of incidents and arrests from April 7-21 by Butner Public Safety officers. All information is from public law enforcement records.
April 7
• Property damage was reported on Arnhem Lane. The perpetrator damaged the victim’s vehicle.    
• An assault and property damage were reported on Ivac Way. An employee struck another employee with a pipe and damaged his vehicle.    
April 8
• PSO D. Toral arrested Chad Lamont Allred, 45, of Fayetteville, for an outstanding warrant for obtaining property by false pretense, possession of stolen goods and larceny. Allred was issued a secured bond of $21,000 by Magistrate R. W. Pearce and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.    
• PSO M. B. Butler arrested Jose Aguilar, 39, of Butner, for an outstanding warrant for communicating threats. Aguilar was issued no bond by Magistrate H. G. Herring Jr. and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.    
April 9
• An assault was reported on West C Street. A physical altercation occurred between two men.  
• A hit and run was reported on Highway 56. As a result of the incident, PSO D. Toral issued a citation to Brenda Ann Lyons, 58, of Towson, Maryland, charging her with hit and run.  
April 11
• PSO J. W. Aaron arrested Christopher Ibienebo Agina-Obu, 36, of Henderson, and charged him with possession of schedule I and possession of schedule VI. Obu was issued a secured bond of $7,000 by Magistrate H. G. Herring Jr. and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.
April 13
• PSO D. George arrested Nysaiah Dashawn Walker, 19, of Creedmoor, and charged him with resist, delay, and obstruct. Walker was issued a secured bond of $300 by Magistrate C. P. Bostic and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.     
April 15
• Communicating threats was reported on Highway 56. The victim was threatened by another employee.      
• An assault was reported on Highway 56. An altercation occurred between boyfriend and girlfriend.  
April 16
• Trespassing and property damage was reported on Andrews Court. As a result of the incident, Sgt. T. B. Currin arrested Donna Hogue Robertson, 56, of Winston-Salem, and charged her with domestic trespassing and injury to real property. Robertson was issued no bond by Magistrate R. W. Pearce and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.  
• PSO M. B. Butler arrested Tommy James Koshada, 45, of Bahama, for an outstanding order for arrest. Koshada was issued a secured bond of $2,900 by Magistrate R. W. Pearce and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.    
• An assault was reported on West B Street. The victim was assaulted by her boyfriend.
April 17
• A robbery was reported on West Lyon Station Road. The suspect entered the business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the scene in a black passenger vehicle. The vehicle was last seen on West Lyon Station Road, travelling in the direction of Stem.  
• An assault was reported on West Lyon Station Road. As a result of the incident, PSO M. B. Butler issued a citation to Tekoa Downey Overby, 37, of Creedmoor, charging her with simple affray. A juvenile petition was filed on a juvenile suspect in the case.  
• PSO S. M. Smith arrested Jeffrey Todd Burwell II, 33, of Oxford, and charged him with DWI and open container in a vehicle. Burwell was issued a secured bond of $1,000 by Magistrate R. W. Pearce and placed in the Granville County Detention Center. Burwell also had an outstanding criminal summons for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Burwell was issued a court date and ordered to appear.  April 18
• A breaking and entering and larceny of motor vehicle was reported on East D Street. The perpetrator(s) entered the victim’s unlocked motor vehicle and stole her wallet.  
• A Larceny was reported on Business Park Drive. As a result of the incident, PSO D. Toral arrested Rashae Ree’sniah Parker, 20, of Florida, and charged her with larceny by employee. Parker was issued an unsecured bond of $25,000 by Magistrate R. R. Roberts Jr. and was released. PSO Toral obtained a warrant for Benjamin Edward Davis, 36, of Louisburg, charging him with aid and abet larceny.  
April 19
• A larceny was reported on Central Ave. The suspect entered the business and stole a biscuit.  
• Sgt. T. B. Currin arrested Dustin Jermaine Gayless, 37, of Virginia, and charged him with possession of cocaine. Gayless was issued a secured bond of $7,000 by Magistrate R. W. Pearce and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.  
April 20
• A larceny was reported on Central Ave. The suspect entered the business and stole a biscuit.  
• A breaking and entering and larceny of motor vehicle was reported on East D Street. The perpetrator(s) entered the victim’s unlocked motor vehicle and stole her wallet.
April 21
• Two reports of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle were reported on Gate #1 Road. The perpetrator(s) entered unlocked motor vehicles. Nothing was stolen during the incidents.  

Special events/notices
On the second Thursday of every month Butner Public Safety hosts its monthly Community Watch meetings at Butner Town Hall. Butner Public Safety urges the public to attend these meetings to learn vital information pertaining to the safety of their neighborhoods. 
During each of these meetings, information such as recent arrests, crimes and safety concerns are addressed to the public. Butner Public Safety also accepts any and all information or concerns from the public so that they can be resolved or addressed.
