Sunset Slush Classic Italian Ice will reopen in the Shoppes at Brentwood next week, with its new location in a corner spot between Mike’s Hair Designs and Monticello Café at 2801 Ward Blvd., Suite 1I.

The shop is set to open on Thursday and will operate from 3-9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 1-9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The move was necessary because Sunset Slush’s former location on Forest Hills Road near Tarboro Street was put on the market for sale. Owner Amy Bryant said she sees the move as a positive one.

“We are really excited to be going to Shoppes at Brentwood,” said Bryant, who owns Sunset Slush Classic Italian Ice locations with her husband and Wilson native Joel Bryant and her brother, Lee High. “We got a welcoming reaction from our Wilson customers as soon as I posted our new location on Facebook and Instagram, and some were already driving over there although we weren’t open yet.”

While Sunset Slush locations in Nashville and Zebulon opened in March, the Wilson shop experienced delays due to building alterations. Sunset Slush also operates three mobile units.

Sunset Slush will serve hand-dipped ice cream in addition to Italian ice.
