I'm Lindy White, interim CEO at Wilson Medical Center, and I'm excited to introduce "Wilson Medical Center: For Your Health," a new weekly column in partnership with The Wilson Times to keep you connected to the hospital and the community we serve. Health care is a shared effort between providers, patients and the broader community, and through this space, we hope to keep you informed, engaged and involved in the ongoing work to support health and wellness in Wilson.

In alignment with our mission of making communities healthier, this space will feature insights from hospital leaders, providers and staff because we know that what makes Wilson great is its people, and that includes the staff and providers of Wilson Medical Center. Each week, you can expect updates on hospital services, new providers, patient and staff stories and health education specific to our community. You will also find details on upcoming events, opportunities to participate in hospital feedback and insights into initiatives that shape health care in Wilson.

We look forward to keeping you informed about key projects and initiatives that have an impact on local health care. This may include efforts like the Community Health Needs Assessment, which many of you participated in and which helps us identify and address local health priorities, or the annual Community Benefit Report, which highlights the ways Wilson Medical Center invests in programs, services and partnerships that support community well-being. These and other important initiatives will be covered in greater detail in upcoming editions, ensuring you stay up to date on the work being done to enhance health care in Wilson.

Beyond these initiatives, Wilson Medical Center: For Your Health will also serve as a resource for practical health education. Each week, we will cover topics ranging from preventive care and wellness strategies to chronic disease management and the latest in medical advancements. Whether it is flu season preparedness, heart health awareness or the benefits of early screenings, we will bring expert insights that can help you and your loved ones make informed health care decisions.

This space is also an invitation for you to engage with us. Whether you are interested in learning about upcoming health fairs, participating in hospital advisory groups or simply staying informed about key developments, we encourage you to be part of the conversation. Community input is invaluable in shaping the future of health care in Wilson, and we are always looking for ways to foster meaningful dialogue.

One of the most powerful ways to showcase the impact of health care is through personal stories. If you or a loved one has had a meaningful experience at Wilson Medical Center, we invite you to share your story. You can submit your experience at www.wilsonmedical.com/contact, and it may be featured in a future column. These stories serve as a reminder of the compassionate, dedicated care happening every day within our hospital walls and all of the many outpatient care sites that make up our health care system of care.

We are grateful for the opportunity to bring you Wilson Medical Center: For Your Health through our partnership with The Wilson Times, and we look forward to sharing updates, stories and insights each week. This is more than just a newsletter. It is a way to stay connected, informed and engaged in shaping the future of health care in our community.

For daily updates, hospital news and additional ways to engage, be sure to visit our website or follow us on Facebook. Thank you for being an integral part of the Wilson community. We are honored to serve you and look forward to sharing more about the work we are doing to support your health and well-being.
