The weekend of Dec. 3-4 brought hundreds of people to downtown Wilson to see two forms of amazing entertainment.

The fun began Friday, Dec. 3, with Elvis tribute artist Matt Lewis, who has been performing since age 12. Backing him up was the 12-piece Long Live the King Orchestra, also known as Big Ray and the Kool Kats. Three costume changes later saw Matt close the show with “Viva Las Vegas” to a standing ovation.

After Elvis left the building, Saturday morning rolled around for the Wilson Christmas Parade featuring 99 entries and ending with Santa riding on top of a firetruck.

The Christmas season is off to a good start, and it’s not over yet.
