•Certified Production Technician — Aug. 4-Sept. 23, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The course provides training for certification in safety awareness, manufacturing processes, quality practices and maintenance awareness. Cost of the course is $187 plus testing fees, for a total of $220.
•Introduction to Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) — Aug. 19-Nov. 16, Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30-9:30 p.m. Training will include programming functions, program preparation, saving programs, loading programs and hands-on programming. Students will also learn to read ladder logic and how to install and troubleshoot PLCs. The cost of the course is $185.25.
•CDL-B Driver Training Course — Aug. 2-Oct. 11, Saturdays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
This course prepares North Carolina residents for jobs operating a variety of commercial vehicles and provides students with the vehicle-maneuver skills and background needed to take the General Knowledge, Air Brake, "P" Endorsement and Pre-trip Vehicle Inspection sections of the state's CDL-B exam. The 80-hour course includes classroom instruction and hands-on driving experience.
Course cost is $195.25 plus additional fees. Enroll by July 18.
