Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Cappa Bunn, Hunt High

Cappa Bunn, Hunt High

Cappa Bunn helped her Hunt High varsity girls soccer team post a pair of victories last weekend at The Brittany XVII, making her this week’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Cappa, a junior midfielder, helped spark the Warriors to a 4-1 defeat of Lenoir Hibriten on Friday before blanking Greensboro Grimsley on Saturday.

A three-year starter for the Warriors, Cappa has helped them jump out to a 4-1-1 mark as they look to defend their 3-A Quad County Conference title from last season.

The daughter of Robin and Turner Bunn of Wilson, Cappa has a 4.5 GPA at Hunt while taking Advanced Placement courses as well as dual-enrollment Career and College Promise online classes through Wilson Community College.

She is a member of National Honor Society, Student Government Association and Club Unify at Hunt.

Cappa has served as a volunteer at Soccer Box training facility in Wilson during the year and also worked as a paid coach for Soccer Box programs last summer.

She is a member of the Wilson Youth Soccer Association 2006 Girls team that won the US Youth Soccer Region III and North Carolina championships in 2022, reaching the USYS National Championship Series, and has qualified for regionals again this summer.

Cappa helped her WYSA Explosion team raise more than $2,000 in September to benefit two local breast cancer patients.
