Elizabeth Evelyn Comilloni-Seibert

Elizabeth "Betty" Evelyn Comilloni-Seibert, 78, of Stem, NC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Duke Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Betty was born in Orange Co., NY, on June 4, 1945, to the late George Arthur Eaton and Evelyn Violet Wilson. She graduated from the Newburgh Free Academy in 1963 before moving to Carmel, NY. Betty had lived in Carmel, NY, where she worked as a school bus driver for 35 years before retiring in 2008. Betty moved to NC in 2010 to be near her daughter and grandchildren.

She was an adventurous lady passionate about flowering, gardening, coaching girls' softball, bowling, and snowmobiling. Still, her biggest passion was her children and grandchildren, whom she was very proud of. Betty loved animals all her life and was a big advocate for the ASPCA, among many other animal charities and rescues. One of her favorite and most interesting stories is that her family of four, her parents, herself, and her brother, were all born on the same day, June 4.

The family received friends Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Creedmoor. Funeral services were held Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Creedmoor, officiated by Pastor Mike Underwood. Burial followed at the South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem, NC.

Survivors include her husband, Gerard Edward Seibert; a daughter, Kristine Grace Byrd; a son, Donald Anthony Comilloni Jr. (Lisa Marie); three grandchildren, Donald "Donnie" Comilloni III, Kaylee Orr (Ethan) and Jonathan Chulla and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Rose Comilloni and Dakota Rose Orr. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother George Eaton.

She loved life more than most. She was fearless and a force to be reckoned with, yet she was the kindest person. The world is a litter darker now without her in it.
