RALEIGH — N.C. Rep. Larry Strickland, a Johnston County Republican, will return as chairman of the House Appropriations Committee during this year’s session of the N.C. General Assembly.
“It is my honor to reappoint Chairman Strickland,” said House Speaker Tim Moore. “I know his experience and passion for the citizens he serves will help keep North Carolina on the right path.”
Moore also appointed Strickland to the following committees:
• Appropriations, Agriculture and Natural and Economic Resources. Strickland is vice chairman of that committee.
• Education, K-12.
• Energy and Public Utilities.
“I am honored that Speaker Moore has reappointed me to serve as co-chair of the House Appropriations Committee,” Strickland said. “I am proud of the continued trust that has been placed with me because of a proven track (record) of responsible and disciplined spending.”
He added, “I look forward to continuing the good work we’ve done in North Carolina to strengthen our economy, meet the needs of our citizens, and secure a bright future for our state.”
