James Boring earns KS Bank promotion

SMITHFIELD — KS Bank has promoted James Boring to mortgage loan officer.

In this new role, he will help consumers in Johnston, Wake and Wilson counties with their mortgage lending needs.

Boring has been with KS Bank since 2021, working as a mortgage loan processor. In his new role, he will work directly with mortgage lending clients. In addition, he will market the bank’s mortgage services to potential clients, real estate agents and businesses.

Earl W. Worley Jr. is president and chief executive of KS Bank. “James is well equipped to succeed in his new role,” he said. “We are very excited to have him working with our mortgage clients and meeting their mortgage needs.”

Boring resides in West Smithfield with his wife, two kids and three dogs. He studied at the Poole College of Management at N.C. State University.

“I am looking forward to building relationships with the Clayton community and surrounding areas as I transition to this customer-facing role to help people with their mortgage needs,” he said.

In his free time, Boring enjoys spending time outside and going to N.C. State football and basketball games with his family.
