Italian restaurant coming to Flowers

In Flowers Plantation, the owners of Don Beto's Tacos & Tequila will open an Italian restaurant, Fiores.

In a Facebook post, Flowers Plantation said Fiores will offer classic Italian salads and dishes with an antipasto selection. Also on the menu will be steak, seafood and items for children.

On Facebook, reaction to the announcement was largely enthusiastic.

"Yes!" Vicky Elia wrote. "We can stay in Clayton for breakfast and dinner."

Jason Gilmore predicted that owners Orlando Marin and Marco Flores would put good food on the table. "Orlando owned an Italian restaurant and pizzeria up in N.Y., on Long Island, and the food was nothing short of amazing," he said. "If it is half as good as the food that Nick and Gina's turned out, then Clayton and Flowers Plantation are in for quite a treat."

Fiores should open sometime in the fall.
