BENSON — The Recovery Concert Tour will open Sunday, March 19, in the Singing Grove on Main Street.
Christian hip-hop artist Rob Hardin, known professionally as Rare of Breed, will headline the concert. DJ Winn and Adam Thompson Music will also perform.
“I’m excited about the Recovery Tour,” Hardin said. “God pressed my heart for the last year to do this, and I’m thankful for the way it came together. This just lets me know he’s leading it. I can’t wait to worship the Lord with you.”
Concert organizer Hope Center Ministries chose the Singing Grove because of its history. For more than a hundred years, the Grove has played host to the State Annual Singing Convention, which showcases gospel music.
Hope Center Ministries, which is expanding into Dunn and southern Johnston County, provides a Christ-centered recovery program for alcoholics and addicts. It offers phases of support, a 12-step program and vocational training to reenter the workforce. The year-long program provides housing for both women and men.
