The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 15-year-old with fatally shooting his older brother on Sunday at their home near McGee’s Crossroads.
The Sheriff’s Office didn’t release the teen’s name because of his age. But they think he fatally shot 25-year-old Tracy Marshawn Davis at the home they shared at 1199 S. Pleasant-Coates Road north of Benson.
Their father told deputies that his younger son shot his older brother around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, someone drove the 25-year-old to the 50-210 Fire Department, which took the man to WakeMed in Raleigh, where he died.
The 15-year-old is in custody.
