Carlee Beckham, 15, is a sophomore at Southern Nash High who competes on the varsity volleyball, swim and softball teams and is The Enterprise’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Beckham was awarded “Player of the Game” four times in 2022 while competing with the Firebirds’ varsity softball team. She wears jersey No. 15 and is a third baseman for the Firebirds.
She has a 4.25 weighted grade-point average, and her mom Michelle Beckham said she is “very proud of her accomplishments in school and in her sports.” She wears jersey No. 6 for volleyball and plays outside. For the swim team, she competes in the medley relay, 4×200-meter relay and 50 freestyle relay.
After graduating high school, Beckham would like to pursue an education at Duke or N.C. State University. She would then like to attend dental school to become an orthodontist.
She said she loves the team participation in volleyball, playing softball and building endurance on the swim team.
